Protests and campaigning are two different things. Protesting is typically a group effort against an idea, action, or person. Campaigning is more for rallying support for an idea or person. Mystic is right about that.
I do doubt this tho since I’ve only ever seen people talk about you negatively.

To “get on a ballot” means you’re a potential candidate on a voting issue. If its for a seat of power, then its an election. The “ballot” itself is a voting process.
Yes you can’t run for a ballot, but being on a ballot is typical for elections.
