Why I think I would be a good moderator …
Now you may be wondering why on Earth out of all these great choices I should be moderator instead and to that I respond with the following points.
- I would have an advantage in overseeing the community during periods of vulnerability when other mods are sleeping. For example, a person with malicious intent could easily make an account to post nefarious things ruining the experience for many people. In fact I have even seen it first hand and I felt helpless as I could do nothing to solve the issue that easily could have been solved swiftly and efficiently. This is a problem that could easily be stopped with someone like me being able to moderate the community in the morning hours.
- I have been actively involved in many parts of the forum and have also helped many people with their problems such as trying to manage their profiles or queries about the trust level system in place. I feel my contributions to the forum have helped it grow and that if I became moderator I would be able to do even more to make this forum the best it can be.
- Thirdly, I have been on the forum since its inception, being one of the first hundred users to join. This has allowed me to meet many people who were all great people but one stood out and his name was Frager. I became great friends with him and I always wanted him to be mod and eventually… he did! But in due time he had to leave but I promised him that I would be mod eventually and that I wouldn’t let him down! So now I just need your help!
In conclusion, the 3 main reasons I should be mod are: I can moderate the community during moments of vulnerability; I have helped many people in the forum and finally I don’t want to let Frager down. Thanks to you all for letting me get here and for reading my paragraphs!
