By the way, I use a school laptop, sometimes a touchscreen and currently I’m using a touchpad (so easy), or if I can the home computer, mouse and keyboard.

I think this is a step in the wrong direction if you’re trying to do an above water light effect. For shallow water, it’s also worse, but its probably more because there isn’t a floor to see.
It looks like to me that you decreased the defined lines opacity, which is making it look darker. If anything it should be bright with an extremely slight orange-yellow tinge
