Blade Division {BD}

I bet some of you reading this are thinking “Great, another one of these topics again.” But hear me out.

Introduction

(This is pretty lengthy, skip to “Blade Division” or “TL;DR” if this is too long for you)

Now, I’m aware that there’s already a Blade clan that was made by Amethyst. But when I talked with Wasd back in October about the possibility of making a clan when I return, I was envisioning something more than a clan compromised of players with “-blade” in their name. Which, don’t get me wrong, I think is great (the more blade people the merrier) and I’m also not trying to undermine the value of Amethyst’s new clan by any means. Instead, I was hoping to start a blade clan of my own.

Now that I’m back for a brief period of time, I can officially announce the foundation of Blade Division, with its clan tag being {BD}.

Frankly, I have no expectations for this clan to get anywhere. It would be pretty cool if it did though. But realistically, it probably won’t as we’ve seen new clans being announced on the forum before and get disregarded almost immediately. But I still think it’s worth a shot.

So here’s my reasoning for starting a new clan. While I have been a {CK} member since this whole clan thing started, I don’t think it currently holds the same meaning as it once did, at least for me. With a lot of its founding members, and especially its founder ANGEL, being inactive now, it has not felt the same. So now, I feel like maybe it’s time for a new beginning.

Blade Division

Blade Division will be unique from all the clans created before it, in that it will not place emphasis on having skilled fighters or fighting a rival clan, but instead character and honor. During my time here in swordbattle, I always strived to be the best person I can be, to be a player that anyone can rely on. Here are the virtues I’ve followed:

  1. Being honorable: Fight fair. Always give your opponent an even playing field. Show your true strength and skill, that you are able to win without relying on unfair advantages (specifically teaming). If they have fought unfairly in the past, don’t do the same in revenge. Instead, be better than them.
  2. Being humble: Do not be toxic. Making negative comments about other players’ skills shows arrogance, which is a quality I don’t like seeing in players. Stay humble while also having confidence in your skills.
  3. Being compassionate: Be a kind-hearted player that players can rely on. Encourage other players and always do the right thing. And this should go without saying, but don’t steal people’s gold.
  4. Being passive (recommended but optional): Do not seek fights, let the fights seek you. When attacked unprovoked, fight with righteous fury. I say this is optional because I understand the game can be more fun if you are able to go around freely killing others. But at the bare minimum, no spawn-killing and no killing unevolved players.

In creating this clan, I hope there will be some players who would like to join and embrace all these values. Now I don’t know exactly what is going on in-game, but looking at how things are in the Discord server, I’d assume there’s an unhealthy amount of toxicity, with almost no veteran players there to help deal with it. But I hope this clan would encourage players to stop being toxic and fight toxicity when they see it.

If you are willing to live by all these values, join Blade Division and fight with honor. I won’t be around to ensure that members are truly living up to these values. It is up to you to be honest and true to yourselves, and making sure your clanmates are doing the right thing. I also don’t want to appoint leaders in my absence because I want all members to be equal. Maybe that’ll change in the future if authority is needed.

TL;DR

Blade Division! Fight with honor!
If you would like to be an honorable player, feel free to join this clan!

If there are any questions, I’ll be on the forum during the next 2 days, or just message me on Discord.

Do you have to have -blade in your name

Nope, a {BD} tag in front of your username will be the standard.

Ay, as I mentioned, we do not care about skill when it comes to members, only their character. Also remember to have more confidence in your own skills; even if you aren’t satisfied with how you are currently, that only means more potential/room to grow.

Yeah of course, ty for joining coolguy , it would be an honor to have you as a member (idk if you have ever joined a clan before).

Tysm for joining Wasd, glad to have you as well! Also huge thank you for encouraging me to start the clan.

I’m cool with that, like the new name!

Of course you can! This goes for anyone who wants to join in the future, you do not need to ask to join, and there are no qualifications or anything. As long as you maintain a good character, you are more than welcome in the clan.
