Did the upgrades system change?

So I noticed that I’m getting a lot more upgrades, but I don’t have a lot of coins. Did Gautam change something?

I wana see someone get 35 or more upgrades. 40 would be really cool. I think its possible with the update
Also, cats are called unknown entity

I think I’ve heard something about being to tame cats, idk
