I love map games because they make you realize how little you actually know about the world. Been collecting trivia questions and some of the Earth facts hit different.

Sharks are older than trees. By about 50 million years. Sharks showed up 450 million years ago, trees didn’t evolve until 400 million years ago. Sharks survived all five mass extinction events. Trees haven’t been around for any of them.

We’ve mapped 100% of the Moon’s surface in high resolution, but only about 26% of Earth’s ocean floor. 74% of our own planet’s terrain is basically unknown.

The most abundant protein on Earth is an enzyme called RuBisCO that drives photosynthesis. About 700 million tons of it exist at any given time. Most people have never heard of the most common protein on the planet.

the earth is most common to an Oblate Spheroid. Due to the holes and land on earth being uneven and stuff.
