Sorry for the delays with Forum revival + not being active in general, truth is I’m really busy atm with college admissions and stuff. But since some of you guys have known me for a really long time, I thought it would be cool to see if people can guess where I get in.

I won’t know all of my acceptances/rejections until probably early next year, but will be done with the applying process by the end of this year!

Anyways, try to guess which places I will get in or not and the top 3 people who get most right gets a reward :wrapped_gift:

  • Location: MN (Midsize city with 100k population)
  • Asian (Indian) Class of 2026
  • An average public school
  • GPA: 4.0UW, 4.8W (near max rigor at school)
  • 10 APs so far (7 5s and 3 4s)
  • Class Rank: #4 / 400+
  • ACT: 36 Superscore (35 single sitting)
  • Income: middle class, not poor or crazy rich
  • Applying computer science everywhere except UIUC (CS+Math)

  • AI Research at Stanford, our AI model is in use at a large medical company. No paper published though
  • Game development (Worldguessr/sb/etc), Featured on Forbes and other news outlets
  • Made an app with 100K downloads to help writers/songwriters
  • Cofounder of school cs club, school math
  • Led MN team to win first in a national coding competition (not crazy prestigious but somewhat)
  • Research at Duke, work presented at a research conference
  • YouTube channel with 2M views made coding tutorials
  • JV Tennis
  • Did freelance development online (Replit bounties, recognied by Replit’s CEO and other big names in tech)
  • Helped at local Tamil school (language learning)

Awards: (weakest cuz i didnt grind most competitions asians my age do)

  • Coca Cola Scholarship Semifinalist (top 1,000 selected out of 100K+ applicants, top 1%)
  • WorldGuessr reached most liked game on CoolMathGames in category (lmao)
  • Google Search Impact Award
  • MN winter coding challenge ranked #2 in MN
  • Some more hackathon wins / minor awards (not very prestigious)

Recs:

  • One from Stanford prof, will be good
  • Teacher recs are okay, nothing too standout but they say I am one of the best students they’ve ever had
  • Essays are okay, I didn’t spend all summer writing them like some tryhards do but I did spend a solid 3-4 weeks working on them.

Now for the fun part!! I’m applying to 15 schools total, guess where I will get in or not!

Nah it’s okay you got this, i spent many all nighters studying for tests in retrospect idek if it was all worth it just to keep that 4.0

Alr if all of them were to accept you with full rides which one would you pick (ik it’s not happening I just wanted to make sure money wasn’t the deciding factor)

It’s really competitive especially for CS so I’m not too sure about it. Also btw idk why both of you did Accepted for UCB it’s harder than mit/harvard to get in if your out of state like me
