There seems to be an increase in people getting in trouble, so I will teach you how not to.
Why do you not want to get in trouble? Because it is bad and there will be some disadvantages in the forum, such as being unable to become a moderator for 6 months, and may be silenced or banned, but more on that later.
1. How to Not Get into Trouble
- Read the community guidelines. It tells you what the users of this forum need to do to keep this community a civil, family-friendly, and enjoyable community. Also, you will get a new badge. reading the community guidelines This link explains everything.
- First, always be civil. Do not post offensive, abusive, suicidal, political, sexually explicit, illegal, or any other inappropriate content (e.g., drugs, racism, insensitive jokes, smoking), and respect other people. Do not spam or vandalize the forum. Swearing, even in abbreviations, is not allowed.
- Do remember that this forum is a family-friendly forum without an age limit for a geography guessing game that contains members who play and enjoy two PvP IO games with circular characters, not a mature chat app where you would text and contact your friends and swear, talk about your life, and post inappropriate content. If you are the people who use this as a chat app, I recommend finding an actual chat app or moving to Discord.
- Please do not start a topic in the wrong category, and keep it tidy.
- Do not post any private information to anybody online. It can be used to dox you or cause unnecessary drama.
- Be agreeable, even when you disagree. Do not cause unnecessary conflicts.
- Another thing to look at is the Terms of service. This is really important to read because it explains all about the use and conditions for the forum, and a lot of other important things.
- Dating is not allowed. It includes dating on the forum and bringing your real-life girlfriend or boyfriend to the forum. Even if you date in the DMs, if your post is flagged or exposed, you will be punished. If you try to date, send inappropriate messages to minors, or do any other predatory activities, you will be even more severely punished.
- Alts, unless your original account is lost or with permission of the mods, are not allowed.
- Do not be off-topic and keep your conversations meaningful and productive.
2. What do You do When You See a Problematic User?
- If you see a problem, just flag it. If it is in the chat, depending on your TL, you can silence the problematic user.
- DO NOT RESPOND! If you respond, a troller will be more encouraged to target you, and if you use some explicit words, you might get banned, too.
- Tell the moderators.
3. If You Got into Trouble
- If you made an alternate account, do not join on it. It counts as ban evasion, and you might get a more serious punishment.
- Just wait. If you are permanently banned, find something else to do.
- Read the top sections, and never do it again.
- Do not complain. If you got punished, you did something wrong.
4. What Happens if You Get into Trouble?
- Type of Flags
- Post Flag: If your reply or post is flagged, depending on the TL and the reason, at worst, your reply could be hidden, and your post will be unlisted, and the mods will decide if they will accept the flag and remove the reply or not. If the flag is not accepted, you will be fine.
- Chat Flag: If your message is flagged, depending on the TL and the reason, at worst, you will be silenced for 10 minutes. If the flag is accepted, the message will be removed.
- Types of Punishments
- Silence: Silences will prevent users from posting, creating topics, flagging, messaging, or DMing. Although the users will still be allowed to DM with the mods and do other actions, such as liking posts.
- Ban: Bans or suspensions will prevent users from logging in and participating in the forum, your username will not be suggested while mentioning and can only be mentioned manually, and others will be unable to DM you.
