Why is it that all the pics that I download for profile picture (png jpeg) come out as jfjf

I have downloaded loads of pics to put on my profile, but they all come out as jfjf which isn’t allowed, and all my pics are Png and Jpeg except for my profile pic which is um :skull: :skull: :skull: :skull: :skull: so what do I do I really can’t find a pic except for the :skull: profile pic I have I’ll try a few more times but plz but an answer bc I don’t want to bother someone by asking for a custom profile pic but if there is no solution I might have to ask for someone to make me one and if I absolutely have to ask I’ll ask for it not to be any one of the two.

i am not a real expert but try converting the picture type

jfif files are literally just jpeg files with extra parameters, you can probably just change the extension of the file from .jfif to .jpg and it should work, if it doesn’t than you can just open the jfif file in paint and then save it as a jpeg picture
