Controllers?

A few days ago, I couldn’t decide whether I should play Minecraft or Swordbattle.
And I thought, “Hey, won’t it be cool if I could play Swordbattle on my XBOX?”

Then I played Minecraft.

So, I would like to kindly request the great coder @gautam if he would be generous and make Swordbattle controller compatible.

Below are a few suggestions for controls if this is accepted:

Hit: Right Trigger
Throw: Left Trigger
Move: Left Thumbstick and Directional Pad
Aim: Right Thumbstick
Ability: Y
Chat: X

I would also recommend that the menu areas have a mouse that the Left Thumbstick can control.

Having the game available to play on a controller would reach a new audience, console players.

It might even help increase the game’s reach if it was added to the Microsoft Store, but that is not what this post is about.

Yooo this would be cool but getting controller support would be a bit messier to code than simple keyboard inputs…

Guatam would have to use the Gamepad API to support it, but for the effort it will take to code the features, not many people are going to use it.

If this was added, I would play with it, but Chromebooks and Xbox controllers doesn’t mix together very well…

The mobile players would rejoice, however

TLDR: cool idea, but effort to code it isn’t getting noticed by 80% of people
unless if everybody likes this idea

Yeah, this should be added… Would be fun af, but idk of gautam would add it with how little updating to swordbattle he really does :sob:

good idea ngl, then i can play with my console :slight_smile:
Also, the pvp for console players should be a bit easier then pc players because then console will be hard to control, etc…
