Well, if the forum is a money sink and he has a strong userbase in another game, then it makes sense to prioritize that community. The major problem is ruining the experience of active users of the forum on an IF.
For me, it would make the reading experience worse since I’d have to guess what subcategory someone is talking about if he actually does merge all game topics + unrelated topics into one category. Very messy imo.
