I’ve been playing WorldGuessr for a while now, and while I can usually get a decent score on well-known locations, I really struggle with more obscure places. Sometimes, I’ll end up in the middle of nowhere with barely any clues to go on.
How do you guys handle these tricky rounds? Do you have any go-to strategies for narrowing things down? I try looking at road signs, license plates, and even vegetation, but I still get stumped a lot.
Would love to hear any tips or tricks you use—especially for those super tough rural or remote locations!
I feel like cars/license plates are my go to
If there are a specific country’s cars (ex. Volkswagens are manufactured and super common in Germany) and also license plates (ex. European license plates are long and thin while in the us they aren’t as long)
efinitely! Signs can be a game-changer. I try to look for language, shapes, and even the color schemes of road signs to narrow things down. Do you have a specific type of sign you always look for first?
That’s a great approach! I’ve found that even small details like clothing styles or the color of road markings can be helpful. Any specific landmarks you’ve found that consistently help you figure out a location?
